OUR STORY
Fly High is a small family owned dance studio in Mckinney, Texas. We are passionate about our family atmosphere, and teaching dance through God’s love. We provide an inclusive environment with classes targeted for all age levels as well as ability. To further students abilities we have performance and competitive teams in addition to our recreational classes.
Giving back to the community is very important to us. In past year we have collected toys for Collin County Children’s Advocacy Center, raised money funds for Minute Man Disaster Relief Program, provided canned food for the North Texas Food Bank, and support breast cancer awareness. We look forward to serving in more diverse way in the future. We also participate in events around our community, including the Yankee Doodle block party in down town Mckinney, and sports events in the metroplex.
What Does a Christian Based Studio Mean to Us!
In John 13:34 Jesus calls us to love one another. Our goal at Fly High is to love as Jesus did, through our dance family. We believe in extending that love to everyone that walks in our door, no matter what your background, ethnicity, needs, or spiritual beliefs. This to us means a judgement free environment. God created all of us and placed you in our building for a reason.
We often use Christian music in classes but do not limit ourselves. We believe that music should be age appropriate and varied. Our prayer is that when you come to Fly High you experience the love of Christ and a welcoming spirit. To that end our doors are always open if you need prayer, or a shoulder to lean on.
MEET THE OWNERS
OUR STORY
Macy and Paul Lopez, the owners of Fly High Dance and Performing Arts, are a happy couple who love giving back, and have a desire to make the world a better place. Macy and Paul are high school sweethearts, who both graduated from Allen High School. They have 2 beautiful daughters, Brinley is a sassy 3 year old, and Harli is a sweet and silly 1 year old. At home they have 2 large dogs, Slate and Sno, their first babies, and a cat named Emmy. Macy has been dancing for 23 years, and always knew she wanted to own her own studio. Macy faced an unsafe environment as an adolescent, and from that strives to provide not only the highest quality but also a safe place for students to grow. Paul is a Firefighter/Paramedic for the City of Allen, teaches swim lessons in the summer and runs a Christmas light business in the winter. The Lopez family is a very busy family, and their children are at the studio most nights with them, but they love that their daughters get to grow up in the studio with big sisters and brothers. Macy and Paul can not wait to meet you and your children! They believe it takes a village to raise a child and can’t wait to be apart of your village
