PRE- COMBO CLASSES

OUR LEVELS

Like most sports and art forms dance is a progression. Fly High Dance and Performing Arts has developed a syllabus for each of our levels. We want every student to have perfected or as close to perfect each step in your syllabus before the move to the next level. This helps us as teachers and as a studio, protect our students from injury by making sure they have the correct technique when getting into more advanced skills. Typically, the more classes a dancer can take each week, and apply themselves to the classes the faster they will move up through the levels.

PRE- CLASSES

Our Pre level dance classes are combined with 2 styles of dance. This helps the young dancers stay excited and focused on the style. Dancers will learn basic technique and terminology, at the same time playing games and having fun!

BALLET

Ballet is the imperative foundation for all forms of dance. The student will be trained on technique, terminology, and an overall grace while developing strength and balance.

JAZZ

Jazz is a fun and upbeat, expressive form of dance where the student will learn turns, leaps, and basic dance steps, along with choreography.

LYRICAL

Is a combination of ballet and jazz. Dancers will learn how to express emotions while dancing. We encourage the dancers to listen to the lyrics of the song and tell the same story as the song.

TAP

Tap is a rhythmic style of dance. Dancers will learn how to make sounds and combination of rhythms with their tap shoe.

LEAPS AND TURNS

Leaps and turns is a class strictly based on perfecting the proper technique of leaping and turning.

WORSHIP WITH DANCE

God gave us all gifts, and we should use those gifts to worship and praise him. In this class we talk about a verse from the bible, what it means, and how we can

apply it in movement with dance.

LIMITLESS

God gifts us all in so many ways, Limitless dance says it all. Dance without the limitations of disability. This adaptive class gives your child opportunity to create, move, and grow with music.

HIP HOP

Hip-Hop is a funky, street-style form of dance. Dancers will learn to isolate muscles, and how to pop. This is a fun energetic class, and only clean music is being used.

STRETCH/ STRENGTH

Stretch/Strength is a class that focuses on building dancers' strength and flexibility. We will use TheraBand's, ankle weights, and body weight to enhance

 students' ability.

ACRO

Acro is a class closely related to tumbling. We focus on flexibility, and the different shapes that dancers' bodies can

 make.

CHOREOGRAPHY CLASS

This Class focuses on a variety of elements that make up the craft of choreography. Use of music, storytelling, and movement invention to create a piece.
